Guandu Ancient Town is a quaint place to
spend some leisure time. The history of Guandu Ancient Town can be dated back
to as early as the Nanzhai Dali Kingdom during the Tang Dynasty. Situated at
the east bank of Dian Lake, Guandu was a fishing village at first and it served
as a stop for officials for sightseeing around the Dina Lake.
As one of the birthplace of Dian Culture,
Guandu Ancient Town has rich historic and cultural heritages. Major sights in
Guandu are briefed as “five mountains, six temples, seven pavilions and eight
shrines”. The Tuzhu Temple and Fading Temple, which are built during the
Nanzhao Kingdom Period (738 – 937), are two of the most famous ancient temples
in Guandu.
Besides sightseeing the architectural
