Hong Kong Kowloon Mosque, known as The Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre, is one of the five major mosques in Hong Kong. It covers an area of 1,500 square meters to be the largest mosque and Islamic center in Hong Kong. Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Center is located in Kowloon Tsim Sha Tsui at the corner of Nathan Road and Haiphong Road next to Kowloon Park. It is quite a beautiful mosque. The whole mosque is built with white marbles with Xuanli towers in the four roof corners, arched doors and windows that are characterized with Islamic styles. The whole temple is square building of 4 storeys. The top of the building locates a peach-shaped large dome of Arabic style in the size of 9 meters' high and 5 meters' diameter. The four minarets on the four corners of the roof are constructed in the size of 11 meters' high, making this mosque magnificently standing out from those commercial buildings around.
Kowloon Mosque
Main buildings of the mosque include the three prayer halls, a community hall, a medical clinic and a library. The main prayer hall is in the first floor, which could accommodate about 1,000 people to do prayers. The prayer hall in the second floor is served specially for women's prayer which is surrounded by a terrace. The mosque could hold a capacity of 3,000 prayers with its three prayer halls. Kowloon Mosque acts as an important place for Muslims in Hong Kong. Only Muslims are allowed into the mosque.

Five principal mosques are used daily for prayers. The oldest is the Shelley Street Mosque on Hong Kong Island. It is a mosque constructed in the Arabic style in the year of 1850 with the fund of more than 100 Muslims in Hong Kong. And it was rebuilt by an Indian Muslim philanthropist in 1905. Shelley Street Mosque is situated off the famous Central Mid-Levels Escalator.
Jamia Mosque was built to be a very beautiful temple. It is surrounded by three flower burseries, making the mosque quite peaceful and elegant. Inside the mosque, there are main buildings of prayer hall, imam room, and living room for imam, water house, dressing room and other facilities. This mosque could hold about 480 people to do prayers at its prayer hall. This is also a Muslim asylum built inside the mosque.

Mosque in Guangzhou China Review

Located in the south of China, Guangzhou has played an important role as one of the main port cities for the Sea Silk Road with a long history of more than 2,000 years. With the development of the sea trade, Guangzhou is recorded to have business connections with countries form the Arab region in the far ancient Sui and Tang Dynasties. Guangzhou is recorded to be the place has the earliest introduction of Islam into China in the history.
When Muslim businessmen from the Arab region travel to Guangzhou to do business in the Tang Dynasty, they started to build mosques when they settled down in Guangzhou. The Guangzhou Huaisheng Mosque constructed in the Tang Dynasty is recorded to be the oldest mosque in China.
Later more mosques are built because of the increasingly religious needs. The existing major mosque in Guangzhou China include Huaisheng Mosque, Xianxian Mosque, Xiaodongying Mosque and Haopan Mosque.

Huaisheng Mosque, also called as Guangta Mosque or Light Tower Mosque, is located in Guangzhou city. It is one of the oldest mosques in China and is one of the four most notable mosques in China with the other three being Yangzhou Crane Mosque, Quanzhou Kylin Mosque and Hangzhou Phoenix mosque.
Huaisheng Mosque was constructed in the purpose to the memory of the prophet of Islam, Mohammed. As its name suggesting, Huaisheng means “remembering the saint" in Chinese. Huaisheng Mosque was firstly constructed in Tang Dynasty (618-907) and was rebuilt several times.
It covers a total area of 3,000 square meters with buildings of the main hall, Wangyue Building, east and west galleries, scripture-stored room, stele pavillion, Xuanli tower(Guangta or Light Tower) and other facilities.
Facing south, Huangsheng Mosque was built in the symmetrical layout of Chinese traditional style with styles of West Asia in the decoration and colors. Its main hall, which is situate din the center of the courtyard, occupies an area of 400 square meters.
What stands the mosque most is the Light Tower. The marnet is constructed with Arabic styles with a height of 36 meters. The tower was built with green bricks in a round bottom and coated gray sands in the surface. There are small holes in the body of the tower for lighting. This light tower was used for the service of navigation for ships on the Zhujiang River when sailors climbing up the tower for the observation of weather conditions.
Even with a history of thousand years, Huaisheng Mosque still plays an important role. It welcomes thousands of Muslims every year and it is where the Guangzhou Islamic Association seated. Tourists are allowed if they are Muslims.

Guangzhou Xianxian Mosque

Guangzhou Xianxian Mosque, located in Guihuagang, is a famous Islamic historic site. It was first constructed during Tang Dynasty (618-907), now it has a history more than 1,300 years. Xianxian Mosque covers an area of 1,860 square meters with a construction area of 1,077 square meters.
Xianxian Mosque is also called HuiHui Cemetery. It is actually a cemetery for the honor 40 famous Arabic Muslim missionaries who were buried in this cemetery.
The Guangzhou Xianxian Mosque is a cemetery in garden style. It was surrounded with walls with prayer hall, square pavilion, and wing-room inside. The three wing-rooms are located in the west and the prayer hall situated in the north. There are planted many trees and flowers inside the mosque. The cemetery was constructed in arch style in the roof, resembling a hanging clock. Whenever Muslims or tourists coming here to honor missionaries, sound would be loud when talking or chanting and praying.
Xianxian Mosque has a two-storeyed prayer hall, which is capable to hold a capacity of 3,000 people to do prayer. Those halls and other facilities inside the cemetery are all built in the style of Ming Dynasty. Today, Xianxian Mosque still stands as a popular site for Muslims.

Guangzhou Haopan Mosque

The Guangzhou Haopan Mosque is one of the oldest existing mosques in Guangzhou. It is situated in Haopan Street, Renmin Middle Road of Guangzhou. Haopan Mosque covers an area of 1,491 square meters. It was enlisted as a city and county level cultural relics protection unit in 1993.
Haopang Mosque was constructed in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). This mosque was built in the Southern garden style. But the existing buildings of the mosque are the main hall and the gate. The gate was built to face the south while the main hall was constructed to face the east with a width of 18.8 meters and depth of 19.6 meters.
In the Southern garden style, the Haopan Mosque is quite outstanding in architecture. There are exquisite carving in the pillars and beams inside the hall. Haopan Mosque was used to serve as a public place for Muslims to attend religious activities. Now it is only open to Muslims.

Guangzhou Xiaodongying Mosque

Guangzhou Xiaodongying Mosque is one of the four mosques in Guangzhou located in Xiaodongying Street of Guangzhou. It was first constructed in the Chenghua Period of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and was renovated two times at Qing Dynasty. Xiaodongying Mosque covers an area of 530 square meters with a main hall of 153 square meters.
Xiaodongying Mosque has an excellent cultural tradition as it has made great contribution and provided ultra convenience for the development of Islam. It has served as a place for church education since its construction. Xiaodongying Mosque has set up Guangzhou Muslim YMCA and other organizations. It also provides the service for funeral ceremony for Muslims.
Built in Chinese traditional style, the main hall of Xiaodongying Mosque was constructed in Chinese palace-style. Now the mosque contains 100 households of Muslims and has a total population of 300 people.

Hong Kong Victoria Harbour Overview

Victoria Harbour is the port and water between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula, built by the British to commemorate the British Queen (Victoria), and is the largest harbor in China, as well as the worlds third largest after the United States’ San Francisco and Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro. The broad waters of Victoria Harbour and beautiful scenery, daytime clear water and blue sky and white clouds, boats and ton ships out of harbor without disturbing each other, to the night will be more bright lights, creating a spectacular night view of the “Pearl of the Orient”. Hundred years, the role of Victoria Harbour is far beyond a normal port, it is one of the important natural resources, and is a part of the life of Hong Kong people, and was also the first stop I went to visit Hong Kong.

The Clock Tower was built in 1915, and was the original part of the old Kowloon - Canton Railway train station. Now it has been listed as a declared monument of Hong Kong.
After nightfall, Victoria Harbour, lighted, and embraced. Both sides of the night scene are one of the world famous tourist spots, considering it one of the five world's three night view (along with Japan’s Hakodate, and Italy’s Naples).
